John Thomas (JT) Grimes, PE is the president of the firm and has worked for more than 18 years as a private consultant for municipalities, developers, contractors, and private property owners on an extensive variety of stormwater management projects. Mr. Grimes also serves as a sub-consultant for engineering firms where his expertise complements and/or completes project design teams.

As a graduate of North Carolina State University (BSCE – 1990, Master of Civil Engineering – 1992), Mr. Grimes has served as both design engineer and project manager on more than 80 projects involving dams. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Mr. Grimes is a recipient of the prestigious Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Regional Award of Merit given annually, since 1988, to individuals or organizations throughout the United States making outstanding contributions to dam safety on a regional level. Mr. Grimes became the first individual in private consulting to receive the award, and the youngest professional engineer at that time to attain this honor, for the Southeast region of the United States.
